Rob completed the BTEC Level 2 Introduction to the Role of the Professional Taxi and Private Hire Driver VRQ qualification over the course of the past few weeks to become a taxi driver, showing dedication and hard work to successfully pass each unit . Rob completed his medical, received his DBS paperwork and passed his knowledge test with the local authority of his choice.
Although Rob had extensive knowledge of the taxi industry and what it took to be a private hire taxi driver in Merseyside having worked for Delta Taxi’s at their head office, he now has his taxi badge making him fully occupationally competent. This will allow Rob to now offer first hand experience on how to successfully complete the taxi VRQ having jumped the same hurdles as prospective learners, there will also be the added advantage of having a teacher that will be on hand to provide all the hints/tips to his learners on how to start in the trade as a self employed private hire taxi driver.
