When learners sign up for our Adult Social Care training course, learners will first of all be assessed on their functional skills, learners are asked to complete an assessment in Maths and English to assess the levels each learner is working at. Learners will also have a discussion with one of our highly skilled Caseload Managers to see whether the learner has any difficulties i.e. Learning difficulties, Physical difficulties. This will help the tutor as well as the learner, Antrec strive to make sure they give the learner as much support as is needed and offer any help that might be needed in gaining this support.
After completing the functional skills assessment, learners will then be signed up to an Adult Social Care training course which runs from 5 to 10 days (depending on the employer partner attached). Within these days, you will be given detailed information on what you will need to expect within the adult social care industry helping prepare you for the future. Recently Antrec have been working closely with a well-known adult social care business called Alternative Futures Group who help and support those in need. The types of people who AFG work and support with are people who may have difficulties such as mental health difficulties and learning disabilities.
Those learners that successfully pass Antrec’s Adult Social Care training course will be put forward to several Antrec employers’ partners who work within the adult social care industry. Our Caseload team guarantee an interview for each learner going into the adult and social care, we provide support over a 13-week period to ensure each learner achieves their aims of gaining some form of employment whether part or full time.
