The Functional Skills course is fully funded* for those who are unemployed and in receipt of benefits (*subject to eligibility). We can also offer the course commercially if you are currently employed but would like to improve key skills in English, Maths and IT.
The English qualification will include digital skills. Supporting and upskilling those learners to manage the crossover to Universal Credit within the entire Liverpool City Region.
The intensity of the course aims to progress learners from Entry 2 to Entry 3, allowing each to meet eligibility for Antrec’s short Employer Routeway courses that we also offer, improving prospects of employment with one of our several partner employers.
Initially learners will be invited into Antrec HQ for pre-course Literacy Assessment and subsequent Diagnostic Assessment, this will provide our Literacy and Numeracy Specialist Tutor a chance to tailor a bespoke training plan to meet the learners’ needs and to achieve the desired progression of employment within a realistic time frame.
We ask that all learners considering this course have a willingness to learn, and a genuine interest in progression into employment.
